A lonely, mysterious woman in the hills of an unknown town produces the most elusive and expensive tea in the world. Plucked under mysterious conditions, the 'Moonlight Thurston' tea triggers layered sensations encompassing taste, memory, love and pleasure. Partially based on true stories, 'Six Strands' is a character study inspired by the world famous Darjeeling tea industry and its undisclosed secrets.

Visually rich and layered, the film has a mystical quality and has been to number of festivals. Th director has since then made a feature film Court which is winning awards all over the world and is arguably one of the best films to come out of India in recent times. From a very mysterious Six Strands to a very real, textured and detailed Court where he had blended meticulous research into fiction, it is really great to see the range of the director.
